๐งญ This week's new AI ad tools, and the one you can use today
Welcome back to AI Marketing News!
Meta, TikTok and X each announced AI that builds ads for you at Advertising Week in New York on Oct 5 and 6.
Only one of the new AI features is open to every advertiser today: Meta's tool that turns product photos you already have into a video ad. TikTok's and X's tools came without a launch date.
Below: how to make a video ad from your photos this week, then what TikTok and X announced. ๐
The 50 prompts social teams use when ChatGPT's first answer isn't good enough
A lot of AI prompts just ask for a caption and hope for the best.
These are built for when you're looking at next month's calendar and need ideas worth making, plus the posts, scripts, and carousels to go with them.
They turn AI into a brainstorming partner that actually knows the brief, and you can try the first one in under five minutes.

๐ฌ Meta: turn your product photos into a video ad
Meta's tool takes up to 20 of your product photos and turns them into one video ad with several scenes, music and text on screen (eMarketer). Meta first announced it in June 2025. On Oct 6, Meta said it is now generally available, which means every advertiser should have it (Social Media Today).
A video ad usually means filming or paying an editor. This one is built from photos you already have.
Here's how to find it:
Start a new ad in Meta Ads Manager, the tool where you build Facebook and Instagram ads.
Go to the ad level, the step where you add your images and text.
Open the Advantage+ creative options. Advantage+ is Meta's name for its automated ad features, and its tools for turning images into motion sit in this section (Jon Loomer).
Add your product photos and pick the video option. Meta didn't publish the exact button name with this week's news, and labels can differ between accounts.
Preview the video before you publish.
My take: upload your clearest product photos, because the video is made only from what you give it. And watch the preview all the way through, because you are the only check on what it made before it runs.
If you also want to edit the video after it's made, Meta has a second tool for that called Ads Creative Studio. It lets you swap the first few seconds, change the music, the length and the captions, or change the ending. Meta is giving it to more advertisers but not everyone has it yet. If you can't find it in Ads Manager, your account doesn't have it yet.
Post what's already going viral in your niche today โ even with zero ideas and no designer.
The hard part of posting isn't posting. It's knowing what to post.
Post Planner shows you the top posts in your niche, rated by how viral they went. Pick a winner, describe your own take, and AI turns it into an original image in seconds. Then schedule it to every network without leaving the app.
AI images are now on every plan, Free included.
No ideas needed, no designer needed.
โณ What TikTok and X announced, and when you can use it
These were announced in the same two days, and none of them came with a launch date (TikTok Newsroom):
TikTok's AI qualifies leads for you: Lead Agent chats with people who message your business on TikTok or fill in a form on your website. It asks your qualifying questions before you reply. TikTok says it "will be available," with no date.
TikTok's search ads set themselves up: these ads show when people search inside TikTok, and TikTok picks the search terms and the ad creative for you. TikTok gave no date or country.
TikTok shows all your ad options in one place: your own videos and images sit next to ads made by Symphony, TikTok's AI ad maker, so you approve them together. TikTok gave no date.
X builds a whole campaign from your website address: you paste in your website address and X Lift gives you ad options with images and text to choose from. It can also set up who sees the ads and the rest of the campaign, and you set the budget. X says it's aimed at new advertisers, and gave no countries or launch date (Social Media Today).
X Lift builds on an older X tool, Prefill with Grok, which has written ad copy and picked images from your website address since February 2025 (Adweek). The new part is that X Lift also sets up the targeting and the campaign.
Meta has one in this group too. Its AI assistant inside Ads Manager is being tested to make new ad images and text, change who sees your ads and change your budget when you ask it in plain words. It's also testing brand guideline uploads and scheduled performance reports. Meta gave no date.
My take: if you already run ads on TikTok or X, look for these the next time you build a campaign there. Don't plan this month's budget around them, because TikTok and X haven't said when they arrive.
โ
๐งญ Where to start, by what you need
Make one video ad from your product photos this week: it's open to every advertiser and needs no filming
Keep making ad changes by hand: Meta's chat assistant is still in testing
Check TikTok and X the next time you build a campaign there: neither company gave a date
โ๏ธ The one-sentence version
The one new AI ad feature open to everyone this week is Meta's photo-to-video tool, so make one video ad from your product photos and leave TikTok's and X's tools until they come with a date.
Reply with one line: did the photo-to-video option show up in your ad account?
