🖌️ Which AI should make your next post graphic?
Welcome back to AI Marketing News!
Can AI make your next post graphic — words and all — so it looks like it came from your business?
Three companies shipped a piece of that in the past week:
On Oct 22, Canva launched Craft, its first image model, and Canva says it gets the text right (TechCrunch).
On Oct 20, Google started giving the Gemini app a place to keep your brand’s look.
On Oct 26, Runway released App Studio, small apps that can work from your Brand Kit.
Canva’s makes the graphic. Gemini’s remembers your colors and fonts. Runway’s turns one product photo into a set of product shots.
Here’s which one fits which graphic and what each can’t do yet. 👇

🎨 Canva built an image AI that plans the text first
Craft works in two steps. First, it plans the layout: where everything sits, how big it is and what the words say. Then it generates.
Canva trained it on designs from its own template library, like posters, social posts and menus. A sale post or a quote card is mostly words. That’s exactly the kind of design Craft learned from. Images come out at up to 2K resolution, in up to 30 shapes (aspect ratios).
To make one, open Dream Lab from Canva’s left sidebar. (It’s Canva’s AI image page, the one that asks “What will you design today?”) Then:
Put your exact words in quotes. Craft plans the text before it draws, so hand it the headline you want on the graphic.
Set the shape before you generate. The shape menu under the prompt box starts on 16:9, which is wide. A square post and a Story need different shapes.
Pick a Style, or leave it on None. The presets include Illustration, Minimalist, Vector and Pop Art.
Check the Model menu. It should say Canva Craft-1 2K. It does on both the Standard and Premium settings in the AI quality menu.
Here’s a prompt you can copy and change to fit your business:
Make a square Instagram post for a neighborhood bakery. The headline reads “20% off every cake this Saturday” in bold dark-brown letters across the top. One chocolate cake sits in the center on a warm cream background.
Need to change the price or the date later? Don’t start over. Select the image in the editor → Edit → Magic Layers. Canva splits the graphic into separate pieces (the text, the background and each object), so you can fix the words and keep the layout you liked (Canva Help). Canva warns that photo-style images may not split cleanly.
What it costs: Canva Free gets 20 AI uses a month, and the Standard and Premium settings draw from the same 20 (Canva Help). On Pro and Teams, Standard uses don’t count at all (within fair use), and Premium gets up to 200 uses a month.
⚠️ The catch: Dream Lab has no Brand Kit option, so Craft won’t add your logo, fonts or colors. You add those in the editor afterward. And “legible text” is Canva’s own claim. Canva hasn’t published a head-to-head with other image models yet.
Post what's already going viral in your niche today — even with zero ideas and no designer.
The hard part of posting isn't posting. It's knowing what to post.
Post Planner shows you the top posts in your niche, rated by how viral they went. Pick a winner, describe your own take, and AI turns it into an original image in seconds. Then schedule it to every network without leaving the app.
AI images are now on every plan, Free included.
No ideas needed, no designer needed.
🧠 Gemini will keep your brand’s look on file
Google is adding a business page to the Gemini app. You give it your brand once (your website, a brand kit, your fonts or your color palette), and Gemini retains your visual style for the graphics you ask for after that (Google). The images come from Nano Banana 2.1, Google’s newest image model.
Without it, you’d describe your colors and fonts again in every prompt.
It isn’t in everyone’s app yet. Google says it’s “beginning to roll out in the coming days globally for all Gemini app users,” and it hasn’t published the setup steps. Look for a business page in the app. Google’s announcement shows it with “Create image styles for your brand” on it.
Get ready now: put your website address, your logo and brand images, your font names and your color palette in one folder. Those are the four things Google says it takes, so you can set it up in one go when the page shows up.
The page also connects Gemini to your other business apps: Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Workspace, Canva, Adobe, Shopify, Wix and a few more.

📦 Runway turns one product photo into a set
Runway’s App Studio lets you describe a tool in plain words, and Runway builds you a small app that makes images or video. Those apps can pull from your Brand Kit. Update the kit, and Runway says “new outputs reflect the latest direction” (Runway).
You don’t have to build anything, though. Runway ships ready-made apps, and two fit a business that sells products:
Product Portfolio: turns one product photo into polished product visuals
AutoComp: drops your product into existing video footage and keeps the labels and packaging accurate
Free Runway accounts can run these built-in apps. Building your own takes a paid plan.

✅ What to do this week
Make this week’s sale post in Dream Lab. Put the headline in quotes and set the shape first. It’s already in your Canva account, so there’s nothing new to sign up for.
Fix details with Magic Layers. You change the price or the date and keep the layout.
Put your brand files in one folder. Your logo, fonts, colors and website link are what Gemini asks for when the business page reaches you.
Sell products? Run Product Portfolio on your best photo. Free Runway accounts can use it.
If you only try one thing: make one graphic in Dream Lab and put it next to the last one you made by hand. That shows you whether Craft saves you time on the posts you actually make.
☝️ The one-sentence version
Canva’s Craft is already in your Canva account and built for graphics with words on them, so make this week’s sale post with it, and get your brand files ready for Gemini’s brand page.
Quick question: what’s the graphic you make most often, and do you start it from scratch or from a template?
